Travel is one of my passions. I caught the travel bug in 1995 when I met people from 162 countries at the
World Scouting Jamboree
in Holland in 1995.
Since then, I've travelled as much I possibly can. Here's a summary:
- bicycled across Scotland as part of the Rotary International Interact Bike Ride in 1997
- backpacked all over Europe for 3 months in the summer of 1999
- backpacked and worked in Australia and New Zealand for 10 months in 2002-03
- backpacked across the Northern Hemisphere (Asia and Europe) for 9 months in 2007-08
- made several other one or two week trips to places such as Costa Rica, Peru, Mexico, Jamaica, and Kenya.
